Over the course of seven years, the 12U All-Stars have compiled
a 43-13 record at the Cooperstown Dreams Park National American
Tournament of Champions (NATC) week while
advancing to the Sweet Sixteen three times (the only team ever from Massachusetts to do so during NATC Week). Their record is the second-best
of all organizations which have entered teams in NATC week during each of the seven seasons. Out of a field including
98 teams, the Eastern
Massachusetts
All-Stars have earned an average seeding of #12; in 2006 the team was joint #1 seed and in 2007 EMass. posted a 7-0 record
to earn the #3 seed.
Our History
The brainchild
of manager Adam Wnukowski, assistant coach Gary Leroy, assistant coach/business manager Bill Neukomm and assistant coach/administrative director Stephen Zerdelian, the Eastern Massachusetts All-Stars are annually brought
into being following a series of tryouts and review sessions. Prior
to that, the coaching staff spends time identifying players
from a variety of cities and towns through league contacts to determine which players would be interested in, and willing to commit to, such a venture. Players chosen for the team are required to play for and prioritize spring and summer baseball in their own communities, with the Eastern Massachusetts All-Star team a high-level adjunct to their regular schedule. Cooperstown Dreams Park (see link
on other page) has been hosting youth baseball tournaments on a weekly basis since 1996, and bill the National American Championship Tournament week as The Crown Jewel of Youth Baseball, and when one looks at the quality of teams that travel
from around the country, its easy to see why.
